7 Nights Zambian Explorer

Day 1 Livingstone (FB)

Arrive in Livingstone and transfer to your lodge situated on the northern edge of the Mosi-Oa-Tunya Park where luxurious tree houses hide discreetly amongst giant ebony trees on sweeping bend of the Zambezi River. During the next days your activities will include game drives with experinced guides, visits to the Falls and an optional choice of all adventure activities (guided bush walks, canoeing, cruises and cultural visit to the nearby village, whitewater rafting, bunji jumping, microlight/fixed wing & helicopter flights).

Day 2 Livingstone (FB)

Another day of excitement, discovery, romance and whatever you choose to experience on the banks of Africa's most spectacular river. Overnight: Sussi & Chuma.

Day 3 (FB)

Depart by private charter to the magnificent World Heritage Wetlands Site of Lachinvar National Park. The transfer takes approximately 1 hr. each individual tent has all the comforts and privacy you require. From here you can explore the vast wetlands noted for thousands of the endemic Kafue Lechwe, Buffalo, Zebra, Wildbeast and Oribi. However the real drawcard is the birdlife; it's a birdwatcher's paradise with 428 recorded species ranging from the flamboyant flamingo and pelican through a baggling array of waterfowl and waders to over 50 species of raptors. The sight of these huge flocks dipping and swooping in a continual wave over the water is not to be missed. Overnight: Lechwe Plains Tented Camp.

Day 4 Lachinvar (FB)

A day for further exploration of the floodplains and surroundings. Other places of interest are the Gwisho Hotsprings and Sebanzi Hill, the site of Stone Age habitation and a later Iron Age Village.

Day 5 Mfuwe, South Luangwa (FB)

Depart after breakfast by private charter for your flight to Mfuwe. The transfer from Mfuwe to the lodge of your flight choice through the takes approximateley 1 hour. Experts have called South Luangwa one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world, not surprisingly since the concentrations of game around the Luangwa River and its ox-bow lagoons are dramatic.

In addition, the topography af the area make it ideal for walking safaris allowing guests to explore the river and its tributaries in the care of an experienced guide. The Park is noted for its big game species particularly Leopard, Lion and Elephant and a whole host of antelope species. Overnight: Chichele Presidential Lodge or Puku Ridge Tented Camp.

Day 6 & 7 Mfuwe, South Luangwa (FB)

Two more days spent walking and driving in this special sanctuary. Overnight: Chichele Presidential Lodge or Puku Ridge Tented Camp.

Day & Depart Zambia

This day, transfer back to Mfuwe for your outbound flight to Lusaka International Airport and onward connections.

Game Drives

Depart from all central Livingstone hotels/lodges Musi-oa-Tunya National Patk is a wildlife sanctuary on the banks of the Zambezi River and the only one of Zambia's 19 national parks, which is fenced. Covering an area of 20 square kilometres it affords visitors the opportunity to view and photograph wildlife, including the country's only white rhino, various antelope, buffalo, giraffe, wildbeast, kudu, waterbuck, warthog and zebra, at close range. There is beautiful riverine vegetation and stunning views across the Zambezi River. It is also possible to see. The Old Drift where the settlers lived before 1904.

Livingstone Guided Falls Tour

Departs daily from all central Livingstone hotels/lodges. The Victoria Falls is one of the most spectacular natural sights in the world, and this awe-inspiring tour takes the form of a walk in the rainforest with a knowledgeable and informative local guide.

ZA 04 / 2.5 Hours

Livingstone City Tour & Museum

Departs daily from all central Livingstone hotels/lodges. The town of Livingstone moved from the Old Drift in 1905 when it was decided that a location on the River. The town was carefully planned with wide streets, avenues of beautiful trees, buildings with high ceilings and mosquito-netted verandahs. Join us to tour the famous Maramba market, a bustling colourful market situated in a small park in the centre of town. The city tour is crowned by the Livingstone Museum, which houses the most comprehensive collection of memorabilia of David Livingstone.

Mukuni Village Tour

Departs daily from all central Livingstone hotels/lodges Founded as Gundu in the 13th century, this village was later named Mukuni after the arrival of the first Chief Mukuni from the Congo. It is home to the Leya, a warm and courteous people, who take pride in their traditional lifestyle. This tour presents an opportunity to glimpse life in an authentic African village. With a population of 7000, the village has a clinic, basic school and boreholes for drinking water. Clients see how huts are built and decorated, meet residents and watch skilful craftsmen at work creatina excuisite curios.

Chobe Day Trip

Departs daily from all central hotels/lodges in Livingstone From Livingstone, drive to the Kazungula Zambia/Botswana border post and across the Zambezi River by ferry to Chobe for a safari cruise on the River Chobe and a game drive in the Chobe National Park, returning to Livingstone at dusk. A buffet lunch at one of the lodges is included.

Day 1 Livingstone (L)

Upon arrival in livingstone, you will be transferred to your hotel. In the late afternoon and on a sunset cruise, join the party celebrating the daily retirement of the sun to its bed in the west aboard Livingstone's African Queen. Overnight your choice of hotel / lodge.

Day 2 Livingstone (FB)

This morning, take advantage of the cooler hours to observe the Falls - and see them in a different light. As you walk along the bridge beside the falls, marvel at the chasm carved out by the patient Zambezi over countless millernia. Later in the afternoon, take a drive to the village of the Mukuni people whose humble simplicity and warm welcome you will remember for a long time to come. Return to Livingstone town to tour the Livingstone and Railways Museums. Overnight your choice of hotel / lodge.

Day 3 Depart Livingstone

Morning ar leisure or take a UTc optional tour. Later on this day, transfer from your hotel to the airport for your depature.
